GORDON NORTH SYDNEY MENS HOCKEY

Welcome to Gordon North Sydney (GNS) Mens Hockey Club. We provide opportunities for all levels of abilities from the Elite Internationals, to able and focused Juniors from 14 years of age.

We provided this through a dynamic combination of environments geared to providing the vast array of experiences that form the dynamic of any club.

In 2010 were looking to shake things up a little to unite the club as a whole even more, both on and off the field. This will be achieved through the socialization and passionate support from the loyal GNS members and their families, and the support of our sponsors, especially the Willoughby hotel.
Our Men's Club has eleven teams, playing in the Sydney Hockey Association Premier League, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4, U/17s and two veterans teams. We also play mixed hockey in Summer and Indoor Hockey Teams range from the most enjoyable and social, through to the most committed and elite.

One of our members currently plays in the Australian National Mens team, the Kookaburras in the form of Matthew Butturini.

We also have current and former members of the NSW AHL squads in Nick Russ, Peter Kelly, Robbie Campbell and Greg Paynter. Greg Paynter was also of member the New Zealand A squad for 2009.
Our club's coaching team is headed up by Jonathon Petterson who coaches our premier team. David Johnston is our 2nd grade coach and is in charge of a very talented group of young players on the move.
