It is an exciting time for the GNS club as we have for the first time a Veterans Section recognised within the club.

The GNS Veterans have a proud tradition of having represented the club in competition since its inception via both players and teams. David Webster is our most capped club veteran recently honoured for service to NSW Veterans with an outstanding 20 years.

This season we will be moving the veterans teams back into the same uniform as the rest of the club having evolved into a uniform in our first grade that looks like the Dutch National team, and having the second grade team in the uniform that the club was wearing 3 years ago. So the news is good in that we are modernising and becoming a closer family member.

As you will find with the rest of the Club we now have the benefit of online registration as well as uniform procurement.

During this playing season we will be endeavouring to provide some news and updates of how the season is tracking. We would like this to become the key resource for you to gather information from the Hockey Club of what is taking place. I encourage you to send articles to me as the convenor for posting in the news section.

In season 2008 the Australian Championships will be held in Darwin in July and the flow on effect is that the age Championships in each of the group sections will be held earlier than normal to ensure selections are completed. Information on the Championships will be posted on the website throughout the season.
