Ku-ring-gai Hockey Centre

Ku-ring-gai Hockey Centre (KHC) is the home ground of GNS Hockey Club and sits within the grounds of Ku-ring-gai High School.

In 2010, KHC received a building grant allowing the facilities to be substantially improved with bathrooms and canteen facilities. 

In 2019, we commissioned a new scoreboard and four new light-weight goals to add to the infrastructure at the field.  

In 2023, KHC under-went major new renewals and as of 9th March 2024 is now back into action.

Bookings at KHC are open now.

KHC is available for hire on weekdays from 4:00pm to 10:00pm and on weekends and public holidays from 7:00am to 10:00pm.  See the bookings calendar below for current utilisation.  To make a booking please download the booking form at the bottom of the page and email it to khcbookings@gmail.com.

Payment Terms Are 30 Days. Invoices Payable By EFT.

Cancellations

Hirers requesting permanent bookings for the Winter Season (March-September) may be required to pay a non-refundable deposit equivalent to one (1) month field hire or a minimum of $400 for their booking to be confirmed.  If the permanent booking request is canceled or the turf hire booking is decreased by the hirer at a later date after confirmation of the booking by the KHC Administrator the deposit will be forfeited.

Notification of cancellation of a booking at least 2 weeks in advance – No penalty.

Notification of cancellation less than 2 weeks notice but the field is re-let – No penalty.

Less than 2 weeks notification of cancellation and field is not re-let – Full fee will be charged.

Whilst the field is an all-weather surface, in the event of unsafe or unplayable conditions then no charges will be levied.

Conditions of Field Hire

• Hires must ensure that they have their own first aid kit available when using the turf.

• Lights are available until 10pm only.  Please turn lights off if you are the last team using the field at night.

• No food, drink (other than water) or chewing gum near the field.

• No soccer or football boots.

• No smoking.

• Hirers are only able to display advertising / promotional material in front of their dugout for the duration of their booking.  This excludes advertising for alcoholic products or illicit substances.

• Users must vacate the field promptly at their stated finishing time.

• Noise levels are to be kept to a minimum, particularly when arriving at or leaving the Centre.

• Users are requested to consider local residents when parking their cars.  Do not hinder access.  

• With KHC located within school grounds ALL hirers and their supporters shall respect school property, facilities and requirements including:
  - No dogs allowed on School grounds
  - Please clean up your rubbish - wheelie bins are around the ground for your use
  - No parking in designated school staff parking areas, the bus turning zone or the gateway or where blocking the access to the school for emergency vehicles.
  - Passage to/fro the field is down the main entry road and path only.  Do not wander around the school grounds.
